Eliot from Four Quartets (I guess "Step out of the space provided" is an early version of "Think outside the box").
The first version of the list included with Chance Meeting... (1979) ends with ALGARNAS TRADGARD. The second version included with To Quite Men... (1980) appends ANAL MAGIC thru YA HO WHA 13. These were the only two releases with the list.
There are 293 artists on the list. If LIMBUS 3/LIMBUS 4 and XHOL/XHOL CARAVAN are counted as the same there are 291 artists.
The subtitle of Fille Qui Mousse's album Trixie Stapelton 291 is sort of an injoke about the NWW List (note Stapleton's name is misspelling).
Despite claims to the contrary, every artist on the list has made a recording (though some in small numbers or private pressings). The confusion may arise because at the time the list was made a few had not released a commercially available ablum. Refere to my list for details. However there are no known recordings by Gilbert Artman under his name (possibly what Stapleton heard later appeared in the Lard Free collection of unreleased recordings) and Thierry Müller has never released a solo recording under his name to the public (his website lists some one of a kind releases under his name).
The rarest item on the list may be Dadazuzu's self titled private release. Steve Stapleton may very well be one of a small handful of people to have a copy.

If you search the internet for info on the Nurse With Wound List you'll find a number of pages that have a copy of it. For example

most of which are just copies of the from the brainwashed site (or from the nww discussion list). the bad result of all this internet canabilism is that a number of typos have creeped into the nww list. below are (some of) the corrections
